Ladies Social Circle
The purpose of the Ladies Social Circle is to be dedicated to the betterment of our member, campus, and community. We strive to promote leadership, academic excellence, and a high moral standard.
The women who would become founders of the MSU Ladies Social Circle first met during recruitment for Alpha Omicron Pi sorority that ran from August 25th to September 18th, 2003. On September 21st, AOPi regretfully cancelled the colonization at MSU. The next day, the women go together because they wanted to find a special way to maintain the friendship that they had formed during their time with AOPi, and thus the Ladies Social Circle was born.
The Ladies held their first official meeting a week later on September 29th. The first officers were elected on October 20th and are responsible for the symbols and mottos that are now apart of the LSC tradition. LSC held their first initation ceremony on November 10th, 2003, and it was followed by a Founder's Day Dinner at the Veranda. Since then, Ladies Social Circle has already grown in numbers and in heart, and will continue to do so for years to come.
